INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Madonna has always been a bit of a muse for me as a professional artist. She has the ability to redefine herself into any persona that she chooses.This ability has led her to not only a successful music career but an icon status matched by no other.

This work titled "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY" focuses on the

notion that her image is so ingrained within popular culture, that it will exist beyond her own existence. It is as if she has achieved her own form of immortality.

This work is part of the 2011 Queer Country exhibition now on show at the

La trobe gallery in View Street, Bendigo.

The show runs from the 24th of March till the 17th of April, with the

official opening being held on Friday the 8th of April 2011.
